  • Refresh: Praying the Psalms – Psalm 150 & Baptism Sunday

    This is the concluding Sunday in our summer teaching series “Refresh: Praying the Psalms.”  This week we will be engaging together in praise to the Lord, using ancient and modern forms of worship.  As you prepare for this Sunday, take time to read Psalm 150. It will also be baptism Sunday! Baptism is a exciting expression of our faith in Jesus and our identification with His death, burial and resurrection, as well as an obedient response to Jesus’ invitation. On September 4 we’re excited to be celebrating the baptism of Ben Scott!

    We are continuing our summer teaching series "Refresh: Praying the Psalms."  As you prepare for this Sunday, take time to read Psalm 90.  We are learning how the Psalms give substance and shape to our daily prayers.

  • Calvary Women’s Retreat

    Bridal Shower for Caroline Etter & Hans Larsen

    Calvary's Young Adults are hosting a Jack & Jill bridal shower to celebrate Hans & Caroline as they prepare for their wedding day!  This will be an evening filled with food and social time.  If you plan to come, please RSVP to Matt Walker. There will be a group gift to contribute towards and a card to sign.

  • Up-Routed: Wild Rapids Day Trip

    We're heading to Sylvan Lake to get wet and enjoy a treat from the World's Best Ice Cream Shop before heading home! Cost is $25. Please bring a bag lunch. Drop off and pick up at Calvary.

  • Picnic in the Park

    Our 2nd “Picnic in the Park” this summer is coming up! Plan to come out for a casual time of connecting, fellowship and fun! Bring your own picnic lunch and drinks, lawn chairs or blanket. If you like, bring a frisbee, football, or bocci ball set too! See you there! As you come into Hawrelak Park, take an almost immediate left into the first loop, park at the south end of the loop, and meet us under the big shady trees nearby.

  • Single Life Workshop Home Group

    This course/home group is designed for singles of ALL ages - whether you are 18 or 80 years old and whether you're single, dating, or engaged. If you have a desire to authentically connect with others, have a passion for living a life that is full and free, and have a willingness to be open and teachable this is the right course for you! The home group will run every Thursday night starting on August 4, 2016 - October 13, 2016 from 7:00-9:30pm at Calvary Baptist Church. There is a registation fee of $30.00 which will go towards snacks and printing.     We are continuing our summer teaching series "Refresh: Praying the Psalms."  As you prepare for this Sunday, take time to read Psalm 139.  We are learning how the Psalms give substance and shape to our daily prayers. Although there will be no KidzChurch this Sunday (Nursery only), our service will consist of a more family-focused worship service.  We will be enjoying a very intentional time together with a specific focus towards worshipping together as an intergenerational community.  Please don’t miss out if you’re in town!  KidzChurch will resume again next Sunday, August 7th.
