Join us while Kara is home from Singapore in celebrating little Peter, who was born in mid-July. This luncheon is open to all women at Calvary, as we bring blessing to all 3 generations, baby Peter, mom and grandma (Mercy). As we celebrate the Joy of Christmas, we recognize that in the midst of our challenges and struggles our joy is a result of God’s gift to us. This Sunday will be the second Sunday of Advent, in our Advent series: "Who Is This King of Glory?" Throughout this season, we are given the opportunity to remember, anticipate and celebrate Jesus’ coming! We will be looking towards Jesus through the lens of the Old Testament prophets, the Gospel writers and our own lives. As you prepare for this Sunday, please take time to read Luke 1:26 – 56.

This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent, so our Advent series, "Who Is This King of Glory?," will begin this Sunday. We will also be celebrating a more family-focused worship and teaching time, with our children joining us for the entire service. While there will be no KidzChurch this Sunday (Nursery only), KidzChurch will resume again next Sunday.
For this event night we will be going to the West Ed water park for some watery fun! Make sure to bring you bathing suits, towels, and change for a locker! Drop off and pick up at Calvary.
During the 2nd service there will be a youth parents meeting downstairs. Plan on coming down to listen to what has been going on during our times that we meet up with your kids, and bring your questions.
We will be hosting a fall Book Fair at Calvary to promote a selection of books relating to Family Resources and Spiritual Formation. These books will not be for sale, but will be available for review. The Book Fair will take place in our church foyer between the 1st & 2nd service. Come and check it out!
We are continuing in our teaching series entitled "Story: Threads of Redemption." Sometimes our story involves carrying a burden for the lives of people around us. As you prepare for this Sunday, please take time to read I Kings chapter 18.
We will be meeting together for a yummy dessert, then spend some quality time studying the bible together and then a fun group game to finish the night off. Drop off and pick up at Walker's.
