    We’ll be kicking off our year in home groups with a three week workshop, delving into how God is much more interested in you recognizing His presence WITH you than what you can get from Him or do for Him, based on the book With: Reimagining the Way You Relate to God, written by Skye Jethani. Phil Webb, who is a leader, teacher, pastor, and church planter who loves pointing people to Jesus and sharing Jesus love will be leading the teaching on this topic. This workshop will run on Wednesdays from September 19-October 3. The last week of the workshop will wrap up with appetizers and board games at the Walker’s house.   • Group Paddle on the North Saskatchewan River

    Gary & Cheryl Krueger invite anyone interested to join them and others from Calvary for a 5 - 6 hour canoe trip on the North Saskatchewan River from Devon to Edmonton.  They are going with Canoeheads, which provides canoes, equipment and a bus ride to Devon for $120/canoe (2-3 people per canoe).  Only $50 if you bring your own canoe & equipment.  First-come, first-served for 14 canoes and it could be filling up soon!  Click here for more info and to reserve your spot!  Please email Krueger’s if you're joining the group.

    We are excited to hold a combined outdoor worship service with Zion Baptist Community Church and the Edmonton Japanese Christian Church!  Each church community will be contributing to this collaborative effort, as we also invite members of the Ritchie and Hazeldean Communities to join us in this lovely outdoor setting.  Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and a picnic lunch as we worship Jesus with other members of the faith community within our church neighbourhood.
