    We will be starting Alpha this fall.  Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith, and a great way to introduce friends to the basics of following Jesus where they can discuss their thoughts in a safe and interactive environment.  If you are interested in participating or inviting friends, please contact Kevin Miller.

    KidzChurch Information Session

    KidzChurch is going to look different this year and we can't wait to tell you all about it! Please join us for an info session immediately following the service this Sunday.  We will talk about our vision, the new structure & volunteer roles, what to expect on Sunday mornings, and answer any questions you might have. Everyone is welcome!

  • Blanket Exercise

    Calvary Baptist Church 7215 97 Street NW, Edmonton, AB, Canada

    You are invited to participate in a Blanket Exercise facilitated by Edmonton Native Healing Centre.  The Blanket Exercise is a powerful, interactive, visual telling of Canada's history from the perspective of indigenous people in Canada; a history many Canadians are never taught.  The Blanket Exercise also includes a talking circle where we can process some of our thoughts and emotions following the exercise.

  • Money Matters Seminar

    Caitlin Beaton and Neil Kaarsemaker will be facilitating a seminar on financial management on March 18.  The course will cover topics such as: budgeting, debt management, saving and investing.  We are looking to arrange child care for those interested in attending.  The cost of the course is $10 per person.  If you have any questions, email Caitlin Beaton.  To register for the course, please fill out this form.

  • AGM Follow-Up Potluck

    We provided a large amount of information with the hope that it would begin a conversation with our church. And now that you have heard from us, we would love to hear from you. We would like to invite everyone to attend a Family Potluck at the church. During our time together, we will share a meal and conversation about key initiatives that were presented at the AGM. If you were unable to attend the AGM and would like to attend the potluck, please do! We would just ask that you take the time this week to email us for the reports/documents so that you can read through them and get up to speed with everyone.   • Love After Marriage

    This twelve session course is designed to help couples of any age gain insight and wisdom in how to further connect on an emotional, sexual, and spiritual level.  We will learn simple and practical tools in a prayerful and supportive environment.  Our plan is to host the first 5 sessions once a month until summer (the third Saturday of the month), and then start up again September 23.  For more information, contact Pastor Matt, Manny & Nikki Fast, or Rusty & Mercy Foerger.  Couples can register online at http://bit.ly/marriageeworkshop.

    Whether you’re a long-term member of our music teams or just curious about Calvary’s worship ministry, you’re invited to join us for this lunch right after the 2nd service.  We’ll be looking at some goals for the upcoming year and discussing some of where we are as a ministry.  Hope you can make it!

    Everyone is invited to our Sunday School Open House on June 26th downstairs, after the service.  This will be an opportunity for anyone interested or already invested (parents, teachers, as well as those interested in teaching) to hear more about Krista’s philosophy around Children’s Ministry, plans for summer in KidzChurch, ask questions about our program, meet the teachers, and fellowship with other families in the church.
