5) ACTIVITY:
Sit in a circle. Have each person take a turn saying something silly or outrageous to the person on their left, trying to make them smile. (ie. Would you still love me if I sneezed on your hot dog? Would you still love me if all my hair turned to bacon?) If the person smiles, they’re out. Keep going around in the circle until you have a winner.
Discuss: Those are some pretty silly things-but is there anything you could do that could make Jesus stop loving you? No! There is nothing you can do that ever makes you unlovable to Jesus. Just like in our story-even though the son treated his father very badly, his father refused to stop loving him. Jesus’ love is like that; Jesus loves us no matter what!
