teaching ministry
One of the values of Calvary is that every member is a minister, and that the vitality of the Church Body is enriched by all its members making their contribution to the Body. While it is more common for teaching to be performed by pastoral staff, it is our practice to rotate several lay teachers in any given teaching series.
The purpose of the Teaching Team is to build up the Body of Christ at Calvary by:
Identifying members who have the gift of teaching
Mentoring teachers who will humbly work at developing excellence in Bible study and teaching
Coordinating monthly meetings and prayer with the team
Planning the direction of the teaching in the life of the church.
We aim to be Bible centered and to integrate the Word of God into the worship life of the Church and into every other aspect of our lives. Each teacher is unique, and so each contribution is unique as well.
