Calvary’s Outreach Team is comprised of individuals who want to make a lasting impact both locally and globally.
On a local level, we partner monthly with “We Care Ministry” in Edmonton’s downtown. Our involvement in this vital inner-city ministry helps to meet physical needs by distributing food and clothing and is diligent in meeting spiritual needs by building relationships and praying for individuals.
On a global level, Calvary has been participating in cross-cultural mission trips to Mexico every second year for almost 10 years. From house-building to children’s ministry to visiting prisons, people gain a greater missional perspective and grow in their understanding of the character of God in new and exciting ways. Calvary also supports long and short-term missionaries in various countries with prayer and financial support.
Our objectives for each of our outreach initiatives are:
-to provide meaningful discipleship opportunities
-to deepen and strengthen our relationship with God
-to encourage opportunities for sharing our faith
-to strengthen cross-generational relationships within Calvary
-to value and appreciate the greater body of Christ
Most importantly, we strive to be relevant; actively listening to what God is inviting us to, making the gospel practical, and being obedient to His leading in our lives.

Form and Function (Dec 6, 2009)
The Artist at Calvary hosted the first ever Calvary art show called “Form and Function”. A percentage of the what the artist sold they gave back to an origination called BECA. BECA is a non-profit charitable organization that seeks out Nicaraguans who are living in poverty — they want to go to school to get a technical degree, but they can’t afford it. The students which they sponsored are Rafael Martinez and Gloria Sanchez. Check out the videos.
