Leadership Team
Greg Browning – Prayer Ministry
My name is Greg and I have been attending Calvary for 14 years. My heart is to see people set free by the blood of Christ. The verse: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom” resonates with my heartbeat. I have experienced God’s healing touch and long for others to have a similar experience.
I long to see the Bride of Christ free to worship with abandonment, and pursue the power of God in our lives, and share this with others.
Tammy and I have been married for 20 years. We have three fantastic children. Lyon, Chelsey, and Elijah.
Bill Moulton - Treasurer
My name is Bill Moulton. I met my wife Donna at Calvary while we were both teaching Sunday school back in the early 1980’s. Our daughter Erin is now 20 and our son Thomas is 17. I work in the Procurement Services Branch of the Government of Alberta and serve Calvary as an Elder on the Leadership Team and as the Treasurer. My passion for God is to meet Him every day and experience the life He has created for me. My passion for Calvary isn’t much different, except it is on a “corporate” scale…to meet Him every time we are together and experience the life He has created for us as a group of believers.
“Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we have obtained access to His grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.” (Romans 5:1-2)
Dan Sadowski - Leadership Team Coordinator [email]
The Tribe of Dan (1 wife Heather, 4 daughters, and 1 dog) has been a part of Calvary Baptist Church for the past 12 years. As a family, we have been blessed to be part of a caring community. My specific responsibilities on the leadership team are the oversight of worship, as well I currently serve in the role of chairman. I am also a member of the teaching team.
My day job is as a gastroenterologist at the Royal Alexandra and University Hospitals. In my rare spare moments I like to work-out and to read. Some of my favorite things about Calvary are the summer outreaches, the bike trip and watching our youth mature into strong people of faith.
“Yet O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8)
Greg Wiens – Sr. Pastor, Home Group Ministry [email]
My family and I began attending Calvary Baptist in 1995, following time spent in leadership with both ‘Youth With A Mission’ and ‘Teen Time’. My initial involvement at Calvary was in working with the youth ministry. However, in February of 1998, I was invited to join our Leadership Team in a full-time position, and have worked in that capacity since then. My wife, Delores, and I have been married since 1985, and with our 4 children, all presently teenagers, we enjoy a variety of summer and winter sports activities together.
At Calvary, I’m involved in our teaching ministry, in overseeing our ministry staff and the Home Group’s, and in leading our missions outreach trips to Mexico. A few of the things that are closest to my heart in ministry are to see people of all ages mentored, to see the next generation become a greater generation in the kingdom of God, and to see individuals (young and old alike) participate in cross-cultural missions.
“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” (I Thess. 5:25)

Pastoral Staff
Matt Walker – Student Ministry [email]
I’m the pastor of Up-Routed student ministry. I recently married my beautiful bride Erin, and together we believe that we are a team that wants to live life to the fullest and serve our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I graduated from Taylor University College (Edmonton, AB, B.A.) in 2008 and have been involved in youth ministry for six years. I enjoy coming alongside students, helping them discover their passions and dreams and equipping them to put those dreams in action. Some of my goals for the next little while are to travel with my wife and to further my skills by completing a diploma in leadership.
Blake Paul – Worship Arts Ministry [email]
In January of 2008 I started as the Pastor of Worship Arts at Calvary Baptist Church. I’m blessed to have married Amy in July 2009. As a graduate of Vanguard College (Edmonton, AB B.A.-Theology and Music) and Fountain of Life School of Ministry (Prince Albert, SK Dip. Min. of Religion), I’m a songwriter, guitarist, bassist and vocalist. I often find myself on small and large stages playing with various bands. I’m a private music teacher who specializes in teaching band dynamics, worship leadership, and various instruments (Guitar/Bass/Vocals).
Rusty Foerger – Teaching Team [email]
My wife, Mercy, and I have been members of Calvary Baptist Church since we were married over 25 years ago. We have grown up here, raised our three wonderful children here, we live in the neighbourhood, coached the local teams, built the local playground, and have been as integrated as we could in the community around Calvary. I have loved integrating people into the community of Calvary by mentoring, and hosting various home groups. I am a life long learner devoted to understanding God’s Word and revealing its truths – I help coordinate the teaching team. Recently I have been delving more into Restorative Justice (I am the Chair for www.ACTSociety.ca and Social Justice (Micah Challenge). The way I pay the bills is as a Captain Fire Prevention Officer with the Edmonton Fire Rescue Services, where for many years I have been responsible for following up youth who have set fires. Some of these youth have even come to our Church. “Teach me your way O Lord, and I will walk in Your truth; give me an undivided heart that I may fear Your Name.” (Psalm 86:11)
Heather Kassian – Outreach Ministry [email]
My family and I have been attending Calvary for the past 21 years. My husband Mel and I have 4 children that have been raised with the help of this amazing church body. We have all appreciated the openness and honesty that is the fabric of our church. The turning point in my faith came when I had my first child and I went on a quest for the truth so that I could raise my child in the best way possible. God was and is that truth, and He has always proven Himself faithful to me. I have helped lead various summer missions teams to Mexico since 2002. The highlight for me on these outreaches is seeing the spiritual growth in those young and old, as they get stretched spiritually, emotionally and physically. I also work part-time as a physiotherapist at a private practice, and have enjoyed the challenges my profession offers. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
